Enjoy a Post-Valentine’s Day Family Date

The kids may be staying home with a babysitter on Valentine’s night (hopefully), while mom and dad enjoy a much-deserved date night out. And even though mom and dad will have their date together and the kids will likely have a fun Valentine’s Day party at school, why not take some time the day after Valentine’s Day to celebrate your love as a family?

A next-day Valentines party is the perfect chance for both parents and kids to give each other Valentines, spend some fun time together and let one another know how much you are all loved. It extends the holiday an extra day and allows mom and dad to enjoy Valentine’s Day together and still spend some quality time with the other loves of their lives – their children. So give each other some yummy chocolates, cook up a yummy dinner together and exchange cards or gifts with the entire family. Play board games, watch a movie together and, most of all, remember what Valentine’s Day is all about – being with the ones you love.
