Father’s Day Gifts, It is The Thought That Counts

Father’s Day undoubtedly brings up fond memories. Whether it is the time dad taught you how to play catch, ride your first bike, do a dive into the swimming pool, or how about that first weekend fishing trip with just the two of you? You really owe the man something for all he has done for you over the years, whether it is something as heartwarming as a homemade card, or if you splurge a little on a new fishing pole. It is the thought that counts and dad will love that you thought of him on his special day.

Buying gifts can be incredibly hard, and while taking the easy road with a tie or coffee mug is tempting, why not do something really special for the Old Man this year? To help nudge you in the right direction, I have put together this list of suggestions that I can almost promise you can help turn his Father’s Day into more than just another day.

Here are some gift ideas for every kind of dad, from the avid outdoorsman to the pro-golfer in training, to the grill master. I am sure dad would appreciate even a simple card and a heartfelt hug, but be sure adventure forth, for the gifts that will really blow him out of the water, or off the course.

The grill master- a new grill set, what dad doesn’t like to make delicious food for his family!

The golf pro in training- a new golf club, a package of golf balls, a gift certificate for a round of golf, make it for two, so you can join him.

For the fisherman-a new fishing pole, some fishing line (check his tackle box to see what kind he prefers, most fisherman are kind of picky when it comes to their fishing line), new hooks (also check his tackle box), a new cast net, a few bait buckets, a depth finder.

The game lover- a new monitor, new mouse, new projector, a new game he has been wanting but didn’t want to spend the money on himself.

The handyman- I would never think to buy my dad or husband tools but believe it or not, men love tools. Go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy him a new drill set, or complete tool kit, even a new tool box.

No matter how big or small, simple or detailed, dad will be reminded how special he is and how much he is appreciated for being a wonderful father. It is the thought that counts.

Happy Fathers Day!———————————————————————————————————————————————————————

What i hate is that it is hard to know what they want and gift card seem so lame. I try to write things down when my husband says he wants them, but he always ends up getting them before I can!
