February Mommy Blogger of the Month

This month’s Mommy Blogger of the Month is Erin, who writes Praying 4 Raygen. In Praying 4 Raygen, Erin chronicles her family’s journey as she raises her daughters, Raygen and Zoie. Raygen was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, which results in half of the heart being extremely underdeveloped. As a result, Raygen is essentially battling with “half” of a heart.

Raising Awareness for HLHS

Erin dedicates much of her blog to raising awareness for HLHS. She provides her readers with tons of facts and information. She also provides other online resources such as the Jamie’s Heart Foundation, the Whole Heart Foundation, and Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Raygen’s Journey

Praying 4 Raygen documents Raygen’s journey with HLHS. Raygen received her first open-heart surgery procedure when she was only 6 days old. After difficulty breathing, Raygen soon underwent a tracheotomy procedure. Erin and her family finally got to bring her home after 3 months in the hospital.
