Water Play Table Is a Must for Summer Fun

play-water-tableNow that summer is (finally) around the corner, we’ve brought our son’s water table up from the basement so that it can once again reclaim its rightful position of front and center on our family’s deck.

As a child of the 80s, I used to think that those requisite blue plastic kiddie pools or a Slip ‘N Slide were the only options when it came to keeping cool. But, as always, things change, and I’m glad to have been clued in on a more durable yet equally fun option that keeps our son busy for hours: the American Plastic Toy Sand and Water Wheel Play Table.

While there are a bevy of water tables on the market today, I am beyond pleased with the one we’ve chosen by American Plastic Toy, and here’s why:

The Price

At under thirty bucks – we paid $24.99 for ours, which included shipping, this water table is one of (if not the) most economical. We purchased ours brand new from a vendor on Amazon last summer and the price of this table has remained low: As I write this this, Amazon’s price is $18.99.

The amenities

One of the reasons the price of this table is so impressive is that you get more than just the table itself. This table comes with removable 11 1/4″ tall spinner tower works with sand or water, as well as has two sail boats and a pitcher. The sand pit on the table transitions into a boat ramp leading to the water.

The quality

This table is nice and sturdy, but like any product made of plastic, I’m sure it would show more wear if left in the sun for the duration of the summer. We move ours under an awning when we’re not using it so that it’s not baking in the sun all day. But aside from that, I am very satisfied with the durability of this table.

The size

This table measures 26L x 24.38W x 25.75H inches, which makes it perfect for children ages 1.5-years-old and up. It can also fit in the smallest of places, which is an additional plus for those with not a lot of yard space. And if you buy this table early enough, your child will be able to enjoy it for several summers.

We give the American Plastic Toy Sand and Water Wheel Play Table two thumbs up!

that sounds like so much fun! i’ve never had one, but i bet my kids would love it

  2. OMG, Amelia, it is! I kid you not, literally just the other day, I was out on the deck with my two kids and I brought my laptop out so I could (hopefully) sneak in a few minutes of blogging. I had my daughter (8 months) in her pack n play, and my son was playing with this thing — his water table…for nearly TWO HOURS!

It was bliss. Two words for your: Buy this!

That sounds fantastic! I love toys that can really hold a kids attention. We do still love those slip n slides though :)

  4. Hi, Melinda! Yeah, I’m a fan of the ‘ol slip n slide, definitely. But since my oldest is only 2.5 — and mommy needs to make sure he can play on the deck and not break his neck while mommy sneaks in some blogging (while also on the deck) — my little man’s got some growing to do until he can delight in one of those…which is why this table is The Bomb!
